Marie Antionette is just another perfect example of why Sofia Coppola may very well be my favorite director. This film glows in its elegant beauty and excess, matched in perfect contrast by its quiet, sharply observed everyday moments. A humanizing portrait of the larger than life character that was the nineteen year old French monarch.
