A powerful, beautiful film. I cry every time I watch it.
On a side note, I find it amusing that I like so many of Tom Cruise’s movies; The Last Samurai, Vanilla Sky, Magnolia, Rain Man (to name a few) when I find him so unlikeable as a person. I suppose it speaks to his talent as an actor. How about it readers? Do any of you have the same conflict with an actor or director? It also makes me think of the Roman Polanski scandal and how I avoid his films for that very reason. Anyone else think about these things? Let me know in the comments.
